Certificate of Analysis Library

Every lot we sell is independently verified by a third-party analytical laboratory. The Certificate of Analysis for that lot is published here and on the product page, so any qualified researcher can verify identity and purity before purchase.

Research Use Only — Not for Human or Veterinary Use. Certificates of Analysis describe the chemical identity and purity of a reference compound as tested by an independent laboratory. They are not a clearance for clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic, or in-vivo use of any kind.

What is a Certificate of Analysis?

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a laboratory-issued document that reports the analytical test results for a specific lot of material. For peptide reference compounds it typically confirms identity, reports purity, and documents the methods used.

Identity confirmation

Mass spectrometry (ESI-MS or LCMS/MS) verifies that the observed molecular mass matches the theoretical mass of the target peptide sequence.

Purity by HPLC

Reverse-phase HPLC reports purity as an area-percent at a specified detection wavelength, with the chromatogram or integration summary attached.

Lot traceability

Each COA is tied to a specific accession or lot number so the document, the package label, and the product record all refer to the same physical material.

Independent issuance

COAs are issued by the contract laboratory that performed the analysis, not by us. We publish them as received.

Example COA

Below is a representative Certificate of Analysis from a third-party diagnostics laboratory. Real COAs published in this library use the same structure: a header identifying the lab and lot, a methods statement, the analytical results table, and an authorized signatory.

How to read a COA

  1. 1. Header & lot ID — confirm the accession or lot number matches the lot you received.
  2. 2. Methods statement — note the analytical methods (e.g. RP-HPLC, LCMS/MS) and standards referenced (e.g. USP <85>).
  3. 3. Results table — review purity, endotoxin, or other release results against the stated thresholds.
  4. 4. Issuing laboratory — verify the COA was issued by an independent lab, with a named signatory.
  5. 5. Disclaimer — confirm the document states the material is for research use only and not approved for human or veterinary use.

The sample image shown is a placeholder used to illustrate COA structure. Live per-lot COAs are linked from each product page in the catalog.
